The Sony PCS-1 systems have been discontinued by Sony. No further production of the Sony PCS-1 is planned by Sony. 1 and 3 year service contracts may still be available for current stock and for existing customers. The PCS-1 has been designed to meet the necessary basic features of videoconferencing over IP networks at up to 2 Mbps. It offers new features such as enhanced data collaboration capabilities, using the optional PCS-DSB1, and built-in electronic whiteboard interface. The PCS-1 provides QoS technology to help ensure and enhance video quality over unmanaged networks. An optional Mimio Xi™ electronic whiteboard can be connected directly to the PCS-1P, allowing hand written notes, drawings and diagrams to be displayed in real time. Bring the world into your conference. The PCS-1P can bring up to 6 international locations into one meeting instantly, via IP, ISDN or both networks at the same time. By cascading with a second PCS-1P, the number of locations can be expanded to an amazing 10 sites.
