The Polycom® Computer Calling Kit - This is a special cable to connect select Polycom conference phones with PC-based applications such as Skype and VSS-1 for video and audio conferencing. It allows you to hold productive audio and video conference calls over the Internet using the Polycom speaker phone - as the mics and speaker for the calls.
Features and Benefits
•The Computer Calling Kit enables your select SoundStation & VoiceStation speaker phones to connect to a computer through the 2.5mm Applications Port built into the conference phone. The cable easily connects conference phone to 3.5mm speaker and microphone ports on any PC or laptop.
•Works with most PCs and operating systems – Windows, Mac, Linux, and more. No special software or drivers required, works with any voice application on your PC.
•Easy to use – just connect it to speaker and microphone ports on the PC.
•Work with VoIP applications such as Skype, PC-based video conferencing, web conferencing, or nearly any other voice communication on a PC. You can now use your Polycom speaker phone with Internet phone services such as Skype, MSN Messenger, and Yahoo! Messenger, as well as with computer-based soft-phone clients. The Computer Calling Kit also enables the phones to work with the Our VSS-1 system, & Polycom desktop video conferencing applications (PVX & m100), serving as the microphone and speaker for the video calls.
•Multiple users can participate on your end of the call, boosting productivity. Typical computer microphones and speakers are not specially designed for phone calls, and do not have the proper acoustics or microphones to be used by multiple people in the same room. Now with your Polycom phone, several people can participate in your Internet phone calls, and individual users will enjoy a high-quality Internet calling experience without being tied down by a PC mic or headset.
•Cable is included with the SoundStation2W™ EX and VoiceStation® 500. Also compatible with the SoundStation® IP 7000 and SoundStation2™ (with display and EX models only, not compatible with the SoundStation2 no display model)

Two versions of the Polycom Computer Calling Kit are available – for specific conference phone models:
• 2200-17240-002 is included with the SoundStation2 and VoiceStation 500, and can also be used with the SoundStation with display model and the SoundStation IP 7000
• 2200-07878-001 is included with the SoundStation2W EX, and can also be used with the SoundStation2W Basic
