How pricing works
Alexa for Business is a pay-as-you-go service. There are no up-front fees, and no long term commitments. Alexa for Business charges are based on the number of shared devices you register, and the number of users enrolled in your organization’s account. Shared devices are managed centrally by Alexa for Business, and anyone in your organization can use them. Enrolled users join their personal Alexa account with your Alexa for Business account, allowing them to use the Alexa features and skills they’ve already enabled for personal use, and the skills they need for work, on any of the personal devices in their account.
Shared devices - You can deploy Alexa devices to shared spaces in your workplace like conference rooms, huddle rooms, phone booths, lobbies, and copy rooms. Shared devices are not linked to any specific user, and anyone with physical access to the device can use them, including enrolled users. Each device is managed and configured directly through the Alexa for Business console, where you can set the location, specify which skills to make available, and enter conference room settings. Shared devices are charged per device, per month, and the subscription fee is the same regardless of the type of device.
Enrolled users - You can invite end users to enroll their personal Alexa account with your Alexa for Business account. This lets them use the Alexa features and skills that they’ve already enabled on their account, as well as any private skills you make available through Alexa for Business. They can use these on all the devices associated with their personal Alexa account, including their devices at work, in their homes, or through the Alexa app on their mobile phone. Enrolled users are charged per user per month, for an unlimited number of devices. There are no incremental charges as users add additional Alexa devices to their personal Alexa account.
